Baltimore - freight train accident in Maryland, United
States claimed the wound. A truck driver reportedly suffered serious injuries
in the incident involving the 15 railway carriages.
Officials information on Baltimore County public safety
agencies, said Louise Feher, a trash hauling truck overturned near the crash
site. The driver who was seriously injured had been evacuated to the hospital.
Now, the driver was reported in stable condition at a local
hospital. Similarly, as reported by ABC News, Wednesday (29/05/2013).
Local police said, the truck driven by the victim used to
transport the waste or sewage plant. In the accident that occurred on Tuesday
(28/5) local time, the garbage truck collided with a freight train owned by
CSX.
The collision impact plunging 15 cars on a freight train
carrying the chemical. Two of the existing staff in the freight train suffered
no injuries whatsoever.
"Had a blast and there is no smoke," said Feher.
The cause of the explosion is not known for sure. But the
Baltimore Fire Department Chief John Hohman sure, there are 15 cars or freight
train plunged off the rails, in which 2 of them burned cars.
Separately, the CSX makes clear that a series of four
carriages of the train was carrying a chemical called, terephthalic acid. As
anticipated, the local authorities also imposed isolation scene. Local
residents were asked to stay away about 20 blocks from the scene.
This resulted in an explosion of some existing buildings
around the scene. Some buildings collapsed, but the train did not hit the
building. Another eyewitness said the incident like a bomb blast. "Even
more powerful than the earthquake," a witness said.
